Renovations to this historic CCC Beach House at Elmore State Park balance historic character with modern function. Since the park is a community resource, the design process encouraged community involvement. Updates to the facility include café seating, improved ADA access, enhanced daylighting, and a reorganized plan to better serve current use. Repairs focused on structural stabilization and addressing deteriorated cladding and windows for continued use into the future. New landscaping and site planning celebrates the building’s connection with other areas of the park, while improving pedestrian, vehicular and boat access.
