Option 3 - Basic Plan

vhhnumber1extDepicted below are the plans for the basic, unexpanded version of Vermont Healthy Home without the garage or breezeway. From the front porch, you go into a front entry with closets and seats. While functional in providing storage and entry, it also is light, airy and inviting to guests. From the entry you go into a hall with stair, walls and niches for family mementos. Light shines into the hall through the greenhouse/solarium, and second floor south facing windows providing dramatic and changing light. From the hall you can enter the living room down several steps. The energy efficient, clean burning fireplace is the focal point of the living room. The dining room is separated from the kitchen by cabinets and a counter.

First floor living space: 1,152 square feet.

The second floor hall is flooded with sun from the south. A master bedroom suite and two other bedrooms are located off the hall. Two bathrooms are provided.

Second floor living space: 960 square feet

In the basic plan the third floor is assumed to be unfinished to a study or other uses later.

Total living space: 2,112 square feet (without third floor).
Bedrooms: 3-4.
