The River House is a Net-Zero residence set on a stone dam abutment above the Mad River. It directly connects to the location through the use of site-harvested stone in both the building and the landscape.

This residence is located adjacent to the Sugarbush ski resort and has ski-in access. The owner proposed a Rustic Modern aesthetic, and the design highlights trees harvested from the site as columns for the timber frame structure.

This new residence in an outlying town of Boston achieves net-zero efficiency within a neighborhood context.
