Bachelor of Architecture
California College of Arts
Asa Maas is a recent graduate from the California College of the Arts architecture program where he focused on urban planning and forged a deepened interest in residential design and home economics. Asa grew up in Vermont where he has worked on a diversity of building sites and projects as a builder including the making of his childhood home. This start made way for a very hands on experience of the building process and an understanding of what it takes to get a completed design through construction.
Asa is working to gather professional development hours as he pursues his goals of broadening his knowledge as a designer and becoming a licensed architect.
Something important to Asa is coming to architecture through visual art, this pushes his focus on representation which has always been an important part of the approach to his work.
