Vermont Architect Chris Cook at work

Chris has 28 years of experience working in the profession in Vermont with the past 18 of them being spent at Maclay Architects.   She has had time to work on all types of projects with a focus on developing the residential work for the firm.  Chris has taken on the studio manager role at Maclay Architects and believes that all good projects and relationships within and outside the firm come through clear communications and documentation.

Including the many successful net zero and net zero ready residential projects, Chris has experience with multifamily housing including cohousing projects as well as construction administration on larger scale projects such as the Aiken Center at the University of Vermont.

Originally from Canada, this transplant to Vermont arrived by way of a year in Freiburg Germany prior to finding her place in the world.  Chris has served as the chair of the Waitsfield Development Review Board, has been an instructor at Yestermorrow and enjoys skiing, biking, and exploring the world with her daughters.
